Revisiting Charleston, SC

Charleston is one of our favorite U.S. cities. How could it not be? Its beautiful colonial mansions and homes, its history, its graciousness and of course, its low-country cooking.

Since we get back to the city so infrequently, we had a lot of catching up to do. The itinerary for our brief three night, two day stay was, therefore, packed. Mornings were largely occupied by architectural and historic walking tours. Afternoons by independent walks and historic home tours. And don’t forget lunches and dinners, which were dedicated to exploring some of the city’s best restaurants and getting together with friends. And then there were attempts to get back to our hotel in time to catch at least part of the NBA Championship series (Congratulations Warriors!), writing blog posts and preparing for the next legs of this southeastern U.S. trip that would take us through western South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia, end up in Washington D.C.
